An escape to the woods with Getaway

We drove 3 hours north, from Philadelphia to The Catskill Mountains in Upstate New York, for a social-distance friendly birthday celebration. Getaway House couldn’t have been more perfect! We stayed at the Catskill East location. The location hosts 51 identical tiny cabins, each with their own personal plot, including a driveway with a parking spot right next to the cabin!

Getaway cabins are also Dog-Friendly! Our dog Scrappy had such a great time! He loves looking out the window, and this was the best window he’s ever seen!

Our private outside area came equipped with a firepit and a box with wood and starters. We spent most of our time by the fire; grilling Salmon, roasting Marshmallows, and simply relaxing!

A walk through nature was very much needed after being home for almost 3 months. With Getaway House, it was as simple as walking out the front door. The beauty of the Catskills and the peacefulness of the woods made for an almost therapeutically calm hike.
