A weekend in Boston at Yotel

This summer I was lucky to visit beautiful Boston. The city famous for lobster rolls, Fenway Park, and a rich history was a pleasure to experience.

Located in the Seaport District, Yotel is in the heart of the Boston harbor. With the waterfront being only a block from the front door, Yotel offers instant access to one of the most beautiful and walkable parts of the city.

The rooms at Yotel have a futuristic and funky vibe. What sometimes felt like a little spaceship, with it’s modern design and stunning efficiency, was perfectly complemented with the fub lights and vibrant features. But my personal favorite quirk, of this already quirky hotel, was the actual robot who delivers snacks and drinks to your room!

Yotel is also the home of Deck 12 restaurant. Located on the roof, with a stunning view of the city skyline, Deck 12 is the perfect outdoor spot to enjoy a meal and some drinks. Everything I had from the menu was phenomenal, but the Lobster Nachos were my favorite!

Boston is known for it’s many historical sites, cultural landmarks, and it’s art. The crown jewl of the city being the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Isabella transformed what was once her childhood home, into one of the most significant and valuable private collections of art in the world. In her will, she called for the permanent exhibition of her collection “for the education and enjoyment of the public forever”

If you want a break from the big city energy, you can visit the lush and beautiful Boston Common. The Common is the oldest city park in the United States, dating back to 1634. With 50 acres of land the Common parks offers wide open fields, bridges over small creeks, and playgrounds for the kids. The Common is also filled with monuments and other historical sites.

The city known for it’s Lobster has no shortage of great places to get a lobster roll. I was lucky to visit and dine at James Hook and Co. Just a short walk from Yotel, James Hook makes the best Lobster roll I’ve ever had! The food was spectacular and the staff was so friendly and welcoming.

Boston met and exceeded my expectations! What stuck out to me about Boston, compared to other cities, was how intertwined the city felt with the water, how well maintained and clean the city was, and how nice and hospitable the people were.
